Requirements

No prior experience is required. You'll need a valid photo ID and your BSIS guard card or proof of application. Please arrive a few minutes early to each session — late arrivals may not be able to receive credit for the full session.

What's Next

Once you've completed your Mandatory Skills training, BSIS also requires 16 hours of Elective training within 6 months of your guard card being issued. Browse our individual elective courses to round out your hours.

‍No — this package only covers the 4 Mandatory Skills Courses. The Initial Course (Power to Arrest & Appropriate Use of Force) is a separate, earlier requirement completed before you apply for your guard card.

How do I pick my session dates?
