This 4-hour course is part of the BSIS-required Mandatory Skills Course training and covers professional conduct, public interaction, and how to represent your employer well in every interaction.

This is an in-person, instructor-led course taught at our BSIS-authorized training facility in Sacramento. Instruction combines classroom lecture with practical exercises so you leave with real experience handling public interactions, not just theory.

Who Should Take This Course

This course satisfies one of the four required Mandatory Skills Courses under California's 40-hour BSIS training requirement. It's built for:

  • Newly licensed security guards completing their required 16 hours of Mandatory Skills training within 30 days of guard card issuance
  • Proprietary private security officers (PSOs) completing their required training hours
  • Any licensed guard looking to sharpen public interaction and professionalism skills

Requirements

No prior experience is required. You'll need a valid photo ID and, if you're completing this as part of your required Mandatory Skills hours, your BSIS guard card or proof of application. Please arrive a few minutes early — late arrivals may not be able to receive credit for the full session.
